DAN MILLER

1961

Dan Miller works to imprint, on paper or on canvas, his motifs of obsession, his colorful lines and his gestures, which repeat and vary infinitely.

What fascinates is precisely this variety in repetition: three or four colors in harmony, features that range from the thickest, done with the brush, to the thinest, when using pencil, pure arabesques or figurative memories of letters or signs, balance between apparent swarming and the slowness of the realization.

Featuring thousands of gestures made by the artist's hand, his work builds a bridge between street art and abstract expressionism inherited from Jackson Pollock.
