LAURENTINE BURELLE
1980
Franco-swiss artist Laurentine Burelle’s canvases are expressive and explosive. The color shoots up, the line gets free. With the materials mixing collage and paint, she rubs out, covers, conceals in order to reveal what there is to see : a face, some words.
The importance of the text, as well as the gesture, the color and the spray reveals her affiliation to Street Art, at which she brings a women’s sensibility and eye.
